Acceptance
- By enrolling as a member in the American Airlines Admirals Club® (the “Admirals Club”) program or using any Admirals Club lounge, you affirmatively acknowledge and agree that these terms and conditions are a binding agreement between you and American Airlines (“American”). Accordingly, please review this agreement carefully.
- Use of any Admirals Club lounge is subject to all rules, terms and conditions set by American, including, without limitation, all policies set forth in these terms and conditions. AMERICAN RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY ANY OR ALL RULES, TERMS AND CONDITIONS AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE. SUCH MODIFICATIONS SHALL BE EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY AND INCORPORATED INTO THIS AGREEMENT. YOUR CONTINUED USE OF ANY ADMIRALS CLUB LOUNGE OR YOUR ADMIRALS CLUB MEMBERSHIP SHALL BE DEEMED AN ACCEPTANCE THEREOF.
- American and the Admirals Club are not responsible for products or services separately offered by third parties and made available at any Admirals Club lounge or any airline lounge operated by another entity or airline with which American has a reciprocal access arrangement (each, a “Partner Lounge”).

- Membership is open to anyone eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND MEMBERSHIPS ARE NON-TRANSFERABLE. Fees for new or annually renewed memberships are subject to change without notice.
- Membership shall expire on the date indicated at the end of the term when purchasing the membership.

Automatic renewal of your annual membership
Automatically renewed memberships paid for with a credit card online will automatically renew each year for additional one (1) year terms. Your credit card on file will be charged the applicable annual membership fee thirty (30) days prior to the expiration of your current membership period. However, if you sign up for the auto-renewal program within 60 days of your current membership expiring, your credit card will be charged one (1) day before your membership expires for the first year. To avoid incurring the renewal charge for an additional year’s membership, you must opt-out at least thirty-five (35) days prior to the end of your current membership term. Here's how:
Opt out online
- Log in to your Admiral Club account.
- Choose the ‘Opt out’ button at the bottom and follow the instructions.
Call us to opt out
- Call 800-237-7971 daily between 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. (ET).
- Tell the agent you want to opt out of automatic renewal.
You can cancel an automatically renewed membership and the membership fee that was charged for the new membership period may be refunded before or within the first seven (7) days of the new membership period provided that you have not visited an Admirals Club lounge or a Partner Lounge during the new membership period. Call 800-237-7971 daily between 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. (ET).
If you subsequently renew your membership online and select to enroll in an automatically renewed membership, your renewal will once again enroll you in the automatic renewal program for the following year unless you opt out again.
Admittance
- A boarding pass for same-day travel on an eligible flight is required to enter the Admirals Club® lounge or Partner Lounge (“Admittance”). For purposes of Admittance, an “eligible flight” includes any departing or arriving flight that is one of the following: 1) Marketed or operated by American; 2) Marketed and operated by any oneworld® carrier; 3) For AAdvantage® status holders and customers traveling in a qualifying First or Business class cabin, marketed by Aer Lingus and operated by American. The foregoing requirement is not applicable to existing Admirals Club Lifetime Members and their permitted guests. Existing Admirals Club Lifetime Members may continue to access the Admirals Club with same-day travel on any flight. New Admirals Club lifetime memberships are not available.
- Due to security restrictions, passport control locations, and lounge locations in certain airports, not all Admirals Clubs lounges or Partner Lounges may be accessed at the destination airport. A member must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and hold a same-day ticket for airline travel on an eligible flight that allows clearance through security and access to the Admirals Club lounge or Partner Lounge. Eligible customers must have access to the American terminal or concourse in order to use the club at that location. Gate passes will not be issued.
- Admirals Club members are required to present their valid membership card, AAdvantage® frequent flyer card, or AAdvantage® number, as well as their boarding pass for same-day travel on an eligible flight, and may be required to present a government-issued photo ID to a representative of American or the Admirals Club for admittance to any Admirals Club lounge or Partner Lounge.
- Certain exceptions may apply to the admittance requirements at American’s sole discretion.
- Eligible immediate family members or guests must present a boarding pass for same-day travel on an eligible flight as defined above.
- Failure to present the above may result in admission being denied. Further, American reserves the right upon any such failure of a member to present the requested documentation, at its discretion, to revoke membership privileges and confiscate membership cards. The membership card is the property of American and must be returned upon request.
- Admirals Club membership does not provide access to the Arrivals Lounge, International First Class Lounges, or Flagship® Lounge facilities, including Flagship® First Dining, or facilities of other airlines with which American may have reciprocal lounge or club access privileges.
- American reserves the right to terminate any membership or remove any member, visitor or other entrant for inappropriate conduct, including, but not limited to, conduct that is disruptive, abusive or violent, or for failing to comply with membership terms and conditions.
- American may confiscate expired membership cards or cards that are presented by someone other than a valid member.
- Airline, airport, and industry employees are not permitted access while in uniform (this includes employees of other airlines, private and corporate aircraft, and charter carriers).

Admirals Club lounges located beyond passport control may not be accessible due to airport restrictions. Failure to present this documentation may result in access being denied and forfeiture of the day pass.
- Certain exceptions may apply to the admittance requirements at American’s sole discretion.
- Day pass is non-refundable, non-changeable, non-transferable, and valid only on date of visit. Day pass is only valid for use by the named pass-holder as printed on the day pass.
- Day passes are only valid at Admirals Club lounge locations. Passes are not valid for use at Arrivals Lounges, International First Class Lounges, Flagship® Lounge facilities including Flagship® First Dining or facilities of other airlines with which American may have reciprocal lounge or club access privileges.

- American disclaims responsibility for articles lost or stolen in the lounge.
- Admirals Club lounge hours may vary by location and are subject to change, including holidays.
